A visit to Kenya and a stopover in Ethiopia

Kenya

We visited friends in Nairobi, went to the Equator, Lake Nakuru, and Treetops, and got the train to Mombassa on the coast.

Treetops, Kenya
Water buffalo and wart hogs at the waterhole from the observation platform at Treetops, at Nyeri near Mount Kenya. Open since 1932 and visited by royalty, the Treetops hotel closed in 2021.
Thika Falls on the Chania river
The Thika falls on the Chania river in the Aberdare National Park, 45km from Nairobi.
Mombasa railway station
Mombasa railway station, the terminus of the 'Uganda railway'. The train had comfortable sleeping cars and a restaurant with waiters in uniform and full silver service.

Ethiopia, Addis Ababa

We flew to Kenya on Ethiopian Airlines so we had a short stopover at Addis Ababa on the way back.
